My wife and I were prepping dinner and untapped a new butter. While waiting for the garlic to brown she noticed some strange award on the package:
Oh yes, with the new millennium, Wine Spectator stepped a bit sideways and awarded Beppino Occelli the world’s best butter award. Fifteen years on, Occelli still deams this worthy praise. Now, honestly, it is quite fantastic, creamy lean butter. But maybe Wine Spectator should stick to wine. Soon they’ll be recommending which cars, shoes, or mortgage companies pair best with a 2002 Screaming Eagle Napa Cab….
